Shipping & Returns

PAYMENT METHODS ACCEPTED: 

We accept Paypal, or Visa or Mastercard from both USA and International Customers.  We accept checks or money order from USA customers only (or drawn on a US Bank or Post Office.) 

NOTE- Our site does not automatically take the money from Paypal or change your credit card.  I will send you a Paypal invoice or process the card manually, after I am sure all the items are in stock and any shipping adjustments are made.


SHIPPING:

On January 17, 2016 the US Postal Service is rasing rates (again!) as they have done many times recently.  We have not raised our shipping rates for many years, but we can no longer afford to absorb the cost.

In the past, we offered Free Priority Mail shipping to USA orders over $50 but we are bumping it to $60. This is still significantly less than many vendors offer for free shipping minimums.

Also, effective immediately, we will charge actual USPS postage based on package weight & distance (or flat rate package if appropriate). We do not add handling fees or mark up shipping- just exact cost.

Because we do not use a postage estimate calculator on our website, the cart will still default to a flat rate of $6.50 for metered, tracked USPS Priority Mail,  but we will adjust the shipping to actual USPS rates (up or down from $6.50) and email you a copy of the adjusted order.

Sometimes it makes more sense to ship First Class in a bubble envelope for smaller orders weighing just a few ounces with non-fragile items, and we will adjust the shipping downward, accordingly. 

INTERNATIONAL- The cart defaults to a flat rate of $6.50.  However, we will ship US Post Office International First Class at exact cost and will notify you of the exact amount for approval before charging a credit card or invoicing via Paypal. Sometimes it's less, and sometimes it a bit more. It's all dependent on the weight of the parcel & the destination country. 
We do not mark up shipping or add handling fees.

You are responsible for VAT, Customs, or whatever applicable taxes your country charges. We cannot mark packages of merchandise as "gift".  It's a felony and there's a $20,000 fine. We aren't willing to risk this possibility and hope you understand.

RETURNS: 
If you receive an item that has broken in transit, please email us immediately and we will take care of it. Save the packaging in case we need a photo for insurance claims.

Please email before returning anything. We are pretty generous about accepting returns in good condition,  for any reason, but you will be responsible for postage. We will not accept returns after 30 days of our ship date. We will not accept any returns without prior email contact.
