Kitz! is proud to offer a large line of Kathi Mendenhall's "La Petite Belle" Patterns. These patterns are for 19th century and earlier styles.

Most are designed to fit dolls or mannequins, while others are display type patterns for clothing on hangers or draped on a bed or chair in your vignette. If there is a doll shown in the photo, it will fit a 1:12 scale doll.

We also offer fabric kits for some of the patterns. Please stop by often to see what we've added to this new line.

This pattern has some difficulty. There is a bustled drape in front and back. The hem pleating goes around the skirt. The jacket is semi-fitted. Pattern includes instructions for hat and purse.

This dress pattern was inspired by a photograph in a museum catalog-- "With Grace & Favor, Victorian and Edwardian Fashion in America." This is a stunning gown.

Kathi's version of the BBQ Dress for Vivien Leigh as Scarlett O'Hara in "Gone with the Wind."

5025- 1710's Robe L'Anglais

1770's The Robe L'Anglais that is presented here has "Wateau" pleats in the back.

There is a slip and skirt that create the side paniers, though they are not present underneath. The stomacher, stiff front panel, has eschelles, bows that reduce in size from bust to waist. This pattern will take a little time, however a beginner could have success.

5001- 1903 Paquin Day Dress

Paquin Day Dress from 1903. One of Kathi's favorite dolls. She's very beautiful! Creme and blue silk with fur accessories.

Doreen Sinnet made the porcelain so the dress had to be good. Kathi loved the hat and made the dress from a simple description and a line drawing from 1896. Very pretty in person.

1911 Day Dress. So elegant and sweet. This was a custom commission for Kathi, and she was given permission to release the pattern. She's just delectable!

Made of silk and cotton and lined in batiste. Take your time, this is worth it- gorgeous!

Optional fabric kit includes lots of materials, hat straw, chain, even specially printed bargello purse fabric, trims, laces, silk ribbon, batiste, etc. It's LOADED and a great value.

5007- Pride and Prejudice

Kathi's inspiration was Elizabeth Bennet, Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen. In this vignette she is reading Mr. Darcy's letter. Previously she declined his proposal of marriage. Imagine, declining 10,000 a year!

Very beautiful Victorian Ball Gown. Try some new things with this pattern. Lots of ruffles and flowers and embroidery. The fan is really beautiful, too! She belongs on top of a cake!

This pattern was created from a fashion plate description. Originally published in "Dolls in Miniature", the magazine. Simply constructed in small steps to assure success.

Ball Gown was originally created as a signed and numbered kit. Not as complicated as it looks; surprisingly simple. Lots of cake-like decorating.

This walking gown of Moss Striped silk has a Charmeuse train and front drape. Dress was created for "Doll Crafter" Magazine. Some complicated construction, but success is attainable.
